“It just didn’t work” Beauty edition

Hello, my Darlings! How are you all doing? How’s the weather? We had such snow storms for days now. It’s so beautiful outside, but at the same time, it’s cold like -15 C cold. Today I want to talk about beauty products that just didn’t work for me. Right now I just have 3 of those, I hate wasting products, so I try to repurpose them or give to my mom(She has dry skin, so everything that doesn’t work for me, usually works for her). Let’s dive into it.

My “didn’t work” pile
Himalaya Refreshing and Clarifying Toner

KODAK Digital Still Camera
About the product:

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Refreshing Toner is an alcohol-free toner which helps reduce oil secretion and keeps skin oil free. Himalaya Herbals Gentle Refreshing Toner removes impurities and makes the pores appear smaller, revitalizes and rejuvenates the skin. Makes the skin look healthy and radiant. It does not leave the skin dry and stretchy. It is enriched with all natural ingredients which control the secretion of oil in the skin making it look fresh and oil-free.

  • Alcohol-free product.
  • Reduces oil secretion.
  • Removes impurities and dirt.

Why it didn’t work:

My face feels sticky after using it. Simple as that. It does say there are no oils or alcohol, but my face feels dirty and I don’t like the smell of it. I’m reusing it like a makeup remover.

Day Tox Pell of Mask

About the product:

Black is the new Must-have. The pitch-black active charcoal mask provides an intensive deep cleansing. It absorbs excess sebum and with regular use combats the formation of blackheads. The result is a more revitalized and radiant skin as well as a refined complexion.
Why it didn’t work:

It did absolutely nothing. Like I’m not even joking. My face feels and looks the same after use and it’s a pain to take it off. Wouldn’t recommend.

About the product:

Did you know your lashes grow more than just one layer? This mascara unfolds layer upon layer of lashes for a new full-fan effect.
Why it didn’t work:

It made my eyelashes look like spider legs. It clumped up and you can’t put more than 2 layers on. I really think it’s not as much of mascaras fault, but more the way my eyelashes are (thin and short). I will try it again in the future, but right now I’m very disappointed.

Tell me in the comments, How you tried those products before?

That’s it form me
Till next time

  1. Quick advice about the mascara. Of course the formula is important too, but Iactually one of the main roles are play by the style/type/material of the brush itself. Also. For occasions, when it does clump up, my mom long time ago taught me that if that happens and we have n other options. Pin is a really good idea how to separate lashes. Small earring could work too. So you have the big mass on the lash, but it’s not stuck together and doesn’t look that bad in the end actually.
Also, where did you get that mask?

    1. Yeah ,I know all of those tips and tricks💕❤ ,but when you are in rush and don’t have time for anything it’s just doesn’t work . Plus why should I bother if I have mascaras who doesn’t do that?I haven’t had this kind of problems with mascaras for years now ,that’s why I’m saying it doesn’t work for me. And the mask I got in an advent calendar .Thanks for reading 💕❤

  2. I was thinking about purchasing this mascara but got hypercurl instead. I am using biotique toners (tried both and they work for my oil, acne prone sensitive skin) for now. Kama Ayurveda and forest essential rose water are good as toners too but way too pricey. I am in search of new charcoal mask used khadi before.
