I read Fallen and I loved it!

giphy (9)Hello, My darlings!I’m sick…again. And what do you do when you are sick in bed ? You read. So that’s what I did. Finally, am starting to read my physical TBR pile (yay for that!). Let’s start with the fun part!

About the book:

Fallen by Lauren Kate

6487308What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?

17-year-old Lucinda falls in love with a gorgeous, intelligent boy, Daniel, at her new school, the grim, foreboding Sword & Cross . . . only to find out that Daniel is a fallen angel, and that they have spent lifetimes finding and losing one another as good & evil forces plot to keep them apart.

Get ready to fall . . .

My thoughts:

First of all, I read this in Latvian so the writing and names are slightly changed, keep that in mind. I got this book a few years ago, found it in my local book outlet store called Zvaigzne ABC outlet(if you are in Latvia, Riga definitely check it out, they have books in English too). Almost all books in Latvian are in library bind(if that’s how it calls when the hardcover books don’t have a dust jacket but the cover art is on the actual book). But this one was different, it had the dust jacket and I wanted it(have never seen books like that in the wild). And Finally I read it and I loved it! There are very mixed feelings about this book, but I genuinely liked it. The writing style was amazing, it was so atmospheric, the world building was phenomenal. I could imagine and “see” it clearly …plus I’m a sucker for past lives love story. Overall I enjoyed this one, would recommend.

Tell me in the comment, Have you read it?

That’s it from me

Till next time

  1. I bought it many years ago. Like maaany years. Could be even pretty soon after it came out in the first place. Also in Latvian. Got somewhere in the middle. Enjoyed it so far indeed, but then I never found it. That’s really weird. Still thinking about getting myself a new copy time to time, but maybe this time in English since I’d like to continue with the series.

    1. I’m thinking to do the same , sadly there are no more books in this series in Latvian so will need to buy English ones .I’m curious how the writing style changes in English , because it’s one of the main reason why I liked this book .Thanks for reading❤💕
