Hello, My Darlings! How are you? If you are new here My name is Anna and I’m a beauty and Lifestyle blogger from Latvia. One of mine New Years resolutions was to Learn Spanish and after many hours of googling, I found some resources, but not just for Spanish. And I thought why not to share it with my followers, Maybe some of you would benefit from it . Let’s dive into it!
Coursera
Every course on Coursera is taught by top instructors from the world’s best universities and educational institutions. Courses include recorded video lectures, auto-graded and peer-reviewed assignments, and community discussion forums(you can access them by paying for a certificate, totally optional in my opinion). This is a great free resource for learning almost anything (I’m right now taking The Bible’s Prehistory, Purpose, and Political Future by Emory University and I love it). And the Language courses can be a great way to learn basics.
Some Great Language Ones from Coursera
First Step Korean By Yonsei University(I’m taking this one )
Spanish Vocabulary: Meeting People by the University of California, Davis(I’m taking this one)
Chinese for Beginners by Peking University
Language Apps
Apps are a great way to learn and practice a language at any time or place, you just need Wifi. Here are some of my favorites that I had used. They are both free and that’s always a plus.
Doulingo
Learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch, Irish, Danish, Swedish, Ukrainian, Esperanto, Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Norwegian, Hebrew, Welsh, English, Swahili and Romanian.
Practice your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills while playing a game! I think everyone knows about Doulingo, it’s a free app that can help you to learn the basic vocabulary. Would totally recommend for quick and easy word review.
Busuu
Join 90 million Busuu users waiting to help you learn a language!
Become a member of the Busuu Community and have your speaking and writing exercises corrected by native speakers. Plus, you can help others in your native language! Currently offered: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, and Arabic.
I’m using this one right now and enjoying it. It’s very similar to Doulingo in Lesson plans and overview
Textbooks /Online Lessons
Here are some Lessons I have tried and loved, and some new stuff I found while looking for materials for learning.
Full Japanese lessons – Easy Japanese
I have tried this one and I love it! It’s such a good introduction to the Japanese language, easy to understand and great for self-learners.
Basic Online – Ukrainian Lessons
As someone who speaks Ukrainian, I can say these small vocabulary “lessons” are very well made and easy to understand. I wouldn’t use them for the whole curriculum(if you are trying to get fluent) but as an introduction and supplements – AMAZING!
Korean Textbook(PDF) + Audio – Korean from Zero
You can buy a printed textbook on book depository
I have this one and can’t wait to get started. It’s very textbook-based, so if you are a visual learner try to look for something else.
Textbook – Basic Spanish(PDF)
You can buy a printed textbook on book depository (second edition)
I got this one too, and I really love it. I’m already using it (on the 2 Lesson )and it’s so easy to understand. I don’t know any Spanish, and this program starts with the most basic (like family members or around the house ). Love it!
A Basic Modern Russian Grammar (PDF)
Just a basic Grammar PDF, a great supplement if you are learning Russian.
Youtube
Ah Youtube, you can find everything on it! And Language lessons are one of those things. It’s a great way to really hear the language and pronunciation.
Basic Portuguese
Basic Latvian (Nice to Meet You)
Basic Korean
Basic Spanish
Basic Estonian
Hope you find it helpful
Tell me in the comments, Are you learning any new language right now?
That’s it from me
Till next time
This is great! Thanks.
