Hello! How are you? Hope you are doing well? How was your June? Well…mine was crazy,I started a youtube channel and was part of#CreepyJuneReads project on Instagram and I did a 24hreadathon with the Readathon Babes! And it was amazing. Basically I tried really hard to be productive. So let’s talk books now!
Mr. Cavendish, I Presume
(Two Dukes of Wyndham #2)
Amelia Willoughby has been engaged to the Duke of Wyndham for as long as she can remember. Literally. A mere six months old when the contracts were signed, she has spent the rest of her life waiting. And waiting. And waiting … for Thomas Cavendish, the oh-so-lofty duke, to finally
get around to marrying her. But as she watches him from afar, she has a sneaking suspicion that he never thinks about her at all …It’s true. He doesn’t. Thomas rather likes having
a fiancee — all the better to keep the husband-hunters at bay — and he does
intend to marry her … eventually. But just when he begins to realize that his bride might be something more than convenient, Thomas’s world is rocked by the arrival of his long-lost cousin, who may or may not be the true Duke of Wyndham. And if Thomas is not the duke, then he’s not engaged to Amelia. Which is the cruelest joke of all, because this arrogant and illustrious duke has made the mistake of falling in love … with his own fiancee!
A book by Julia Quinn I haven’t read?! Is this real?Yes,those were my exact thoughts when I found this one and I can say…I enjoyed it (logical…it’s Julia Quinn…my autobuy author). And I love it,it’s such a good book and the story was sweet. Overall you NEED to check it out!
What to Do with a Duke
(Spinster House #1)
by Sally MacKenzie
Welcome to the charming, fatefully named village of Loves Bridge, where a woman destined for spinsterhood can live a life of her own choosing—or fall unexpectedly, madly in love…
Miss Isabelle Catherine Hutting would rather be lounging in the library than circling the ballroom in search of a husband any day. So when Cat hears that the town’s infamous Spinster House is open for a new resident, she jumps at the chance to put all this marriage business behind her. But first she must make arrangements with her prospective landlord, Marcus, the Duke of Hart—the most handsome man she’s ever seen, and the only man who’s ever impressed her in the least…
With her wit, independent spirit, and not least of all her beauty, Marcus can’t help but be stirred by Cat. It’s terribly unfortunate he’s not looking to marry, given the centuries-old curse that left his family with the Spinster House to begin with. No duke shall live to see his heir’s birth. But is there a chance the curse could be broken—in true fairy-tale fashion—by an act of true love? The race to Happily Ever After is about to begin…
Mmmmkay ,I really liked it (and the cover is pretty 😍)The writing style was good ,loved Cat’s siblings and this mystical “curse” was a very intriguing part of the story. Overall a great historical romance to read by the pool💕
3,9/5 stars .
A Good Day to Marry a Duke
(Sin and Sensibility #1)
by Betina Krahn
Daisy Bumgarten isn’t thrilled to be trying to catch a duke’s attention while dressed like a flower pot caught in a swarm of butterflies. But, after all, when in Rome (or in this case London society)… Since her decidedly disastrous debut among New York’s privileged set, the sassy Nevada spitfire’s last chance to “marry well” lies across the pond, here in England. If she must restrain her free spirit, not to mention her rib cage, so be it. She knows she owes it to her three younger sisters to succeed.
Now, under a countess’s tutelage, Daisy appears the perfect duchess-in-training…Until notorious ladies’ man Lord Ashton Graham, a distraction of the most dangerous kind, glimpses her mischievous smile and feisty nature—and attempts to unmask her motives. Daisy has encountered snakes on the range, but one dressed to the nines in an English drawing room is positively unnerving—and maddeningly seductive. When a veiled plot emerges to show up Daisy as unworthy of the aristocracy, will Ashton be her worst detractor? Or the nobleman she needs most of all?
It was a cute story! I loved Daisy and Ashton, the chemistry was there and that’s amazing. Great writing style, interesting story…Overall I would recommend!
The Bookish Boyfriends series by Tiffany Schmidt
Boys are so much better in books. At least according to Merrilee Campbell, fifteen, who thinks real-life chivalry is dead and there’d be nothing more romantic than having a guy woo her like the heroes in classic stories. Then she, her best friend, Eliza, and her younger sister, Rory, transfer to Reginald R. Hero Prep—where all the boys look like they’ve stepped off the pages of a romance novel. Merri can hardly walk across the quad without running into someone who reminds her of Romeo.
When the brooding and complicated Monroe Stratford scales Merri’s trellis in an effort to make her his, she thinks she might be Juliet incarnate. But as she works her way through her literature curriculum under the guidance of an enigmatic teacher, Merri’s tale begins to unfold in ways she couldn’t have imagined. Merri soon realizes that only she is in charge of her story. And it is a truth universally acknowledged that first impressions can be deceiving . . .
Omg,Those are amazing! My new favorite book series!!!If you are looking for something sweet and nice you will love this one. Will definetly do a review for each of the books.
Hope you enjoy it and definitely tell me what you think!
