“Doom at Your Service”….was a potential being wasted-kdrama review

About the drama:

Tak Dong Kyung has been working hard ever since her parents passed away. Her life seemed more stable after working as a web novel editor for 6 years, but then she gets diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer). She blames her unlucky life and wishes to curse everything to disappear, which unintentionally calls Myeol Mang, Doom himself – neither human nor god – to appear. Myeol Mang says that he can grant Dong Kyung’s wishes. As her last hope, she makes a contract with Myeol Mang for a hundred days to live how she wants, risking her everything.

4 Swoonworthy Moments From Episodes 5-6 Of “Doom At Your Service” » GossipChimp | Trending K-Drama, TV, Gaming News

The first 4 episodes were the best Tv experience I had in ages. It was engaging, fun, and the chemistry between our main leads sizzling…but after, it was just going downhill. The writing got sloppy in places, the actors still did a good job, but I wasn’t invested anymore. Like it wasn’t super bad, just my expectation was higher.

The main couple had pretty good chemistry, so that’s amazing. We had a love triangle, but the twist…it was our secondary leads. It was done okay, I wasn’t super excited about it. But the chemistry was okay.

*Mild Spoilers*

I expected a Hotel Del Luna kind of ending, but no…It was the opposite. To be honest I don’t know if I liked it, or not. Very mixed feelings.

  1. I think I feel the same as you.
When my friend who hadn’t watched the drama yet asked me how it was I didn’t know how to reply.

After the first few episodes it felt like I was forcing to finish it cause I hate leaving kdrmas unfinished. I don’t know I guess I expected more.

I felt like things just stopped making sense, some things weren’t adding up, too many plot holes and unnecessary complications.

Their chemistry was nice and the female lead is an amazing actress. But I just couldn’t enjoy it the way I enjoy most kdramas
