Is it worth it?) and Young-sook (Jeon Jong-seo), two women from different times who connect through a phone call which interchanges their fates. MY THOUGHTS
The Call Movie Review | Movie Reviews Simbasible

Thanks to Netflix I watched this one and I honestly loved it. Park Shin-Hye did an amazing job, I love her so much(she is such a talented actress). The last movie I watch with her as the main protagonist was #ALIVE(and it was amazing). Also, the actress Jeon Jong-seo who played the girl from “past” was super good in her role. Uhhhh it was great, would recommend it for a evening after work watch. Just keep in mind …there are lots of blood and maybe some missing body parts.

When I watched the first episode…I was like…WHAT?!But after the second and third episodes, I was in love. The plot was very well done, very original. As someone who has seen dozens of kdramas, it’s very hard to surprise me…but this drama surprised me a lot! The acting was AMAZING, Shin Hye Sun did a phenomenal job playing a man stuck in a female body. I loved the costumes, the atmosphere, everything about this drama was great.

The chemistry was thru the roof! I loved the love/hate relationship the king and our young queen had, it was fun to watch. And It was believable, and that’s the most important thing in a drama.

HOW IT ENDS

*Mild Spoilers*

This is why it’s not a 5-star drama…THE ENDING. It was…mehhh.Like, it just was so average, of course, I understand it’s hard to do something extraordinary with this story in a very conservative country(that is South Korea), but I expected more.

After All I’ve Done by Mina Hardy

I was approved for this book on Netgalley, and guys…THIS WAS AMAZING!!! Full review you can read here.

Writing as Mina Hardy, New York Times bestselling author Megan Hart delivers a thrilling new psychological suspense for fans of The Woman in the Window and When the Lights Go Out.
She’s lost her best friend, her husband–and possibly, her mind.

Five months ago, an accident left Diana Sparrow badly injured and missing a few months of her memory. As if that’s not enough, she’s started having recurring nightmares about the night of the accident. Dreams that feel so real, she’s left questioning: maybe she didn’t just slide off the road into a ditch. Maybe, just maybe, she hit something. Or someone.

MY THOUGHTS

So….I binge watched it for 12h straight…Do I regret it?No….not at all.

(But I do need to make smarter life choices )

I didn’t expect to like this,at all. But I did! Usualy I don’t like long dramas( more then 32 episodes),because it can feel really forced after some time. This was such a beautiful(and hilarious)story of family and relationships .Loved the plot ,all of the story arcs were really thought thru ,well directed and the acting was amazing! I really recommend you to go in blind because that’s how I did it and didn’t regret it. Overall an amazing drama, would highly recommend for you to check it out .

MY THOUGHTS

PLOT

I was excited about this drama ,I love Hwang Jung Eum and almost all of her dramas are in my favorite list. And both of the love interests are really great actors who I enjoy. This had everything I love in a drama : past lives, fantasy aspect, lots of cute moments, very well done love triangle…so why I didn’t absolutely love it? This was almost the same as “Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter, the idea was the same…the main love interests were the same actors…The main difference was this one is more realistic, but that’s basically it.

I was disappointed, maybe if I haven’t seen Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter I would absolutely love this one

About the Drama :

Lee An (Jin Young) has a special psychometry ability. Whenever he touches someone, he can read that person’s memory. Using his psychometry ability, Lee An wants to take out evil people in the world. Unlike his handsome appearance, he is not smart at all.

Yoon Jae-In (Shin Ye-Eun) is a girl with a scar in her mind. She tries to hide that. Lee An and Yoon Jae-In happen to meet and they struggle to solve cases

What will happen when their worlds collide? A romantic thriller about how these two teenagers love, heal, and support each other through big and small events.

Country of origin South Korea
Original language(s) Korean
No. of episodes 16
MY THOUGHTS

PLOT

Mmmkay, I expected this one to be like W-Two world  or Hotel Del Luna ,but I got Room .It started a little bit silly, lighthearted…yes we had this big event at the start of the drama. But after it,it’s pretty chill…at least the first 3 episodes, after it?It’s a mess, and VERY unexpected.

The Psychometric powers where an interesting part of the drama, never heard of it before ,so that’s nice. The actors did a great job ,my only complain is the editing…some scenes changed to fast and not smoothly.I did go into this drama “blind”,so that’s what I recommend to do.

Willing to take on any case, no matter how hard, Do Won has made a name for himself as a man who gets the job done. But when the woman he loves becomes the latest victim of a serial killer, his world completely changes. Literally.
Mysteriously able to move between parallel universes, Do Won now lives in both worlds as a man who must pay for the sins of his father in one, and as a man forced to live a precarious life because of those sins in the other. As if the duality of his life wasn’t hard enough to deal with, he soon learns that his deceased love may be gone in one world, but she’s very much alive in the other. Vowing to track down her killer in one universe, while simultaneously trying to protect her in the other, Do Won is quick to acknowledge this is not something he can do alone. Seeking the help of his colleagues in both universes, Do Won asks Han Seo Kyung, an honest, yet reserved prosecutor with a big heart in one world, and a cold and emotionless detective in the other, to help him out. Together with Lee Jung Min, a tenacious member of the scientific investigation unit, they’ll do whatever it takes to track down the killer in one world and protect his love in the other. But will their efforts in either universe really be enough?

MY THOUGHTS

PLOT

I don’t know what I expected from this drama…but  I got a totally different thing! Like it was GOOD, truly good. Lots of blood, a fascinating mystery, and a great main hero. The acting was good, sometimes too intense in my opinion but not painfully so…It was still enjoyable. It’s similar to Welcome2Life, so if you liked it you will love this too!

It’s a real thriller mystery, so if you don’t like those, skip this one!

The controversial “Backstreet Rookie”, was it any good?-review

About the Drama :

Backstreet-Rookie-Poster3Choi Dae-Hyun (Ji Chang-Wook) walks despondently through a residential back alley after getting dumped by a girl. Sitting nearby are three high school girls, including Jung Saet-Byul (Kim You-Jung). She thinks Choi Dae-Hyun is cute and asks him to buy them a pack of cigarettes. Instead of getting cigarettes, they girls receive a lesson from Choi Dae-Hyun. He thinks the girls are just a bunch of knuckleheads, but Jung Sae-Byul is now even more smitten with him and kisses him.

3 years later, Choi Dae-Hyun manages his family owned convenience store. Although, high school girls like to come in and take pictures with him, the store doesn’t make a lot of money. Choi Dae-Hyun has also decided to put up a “part-timer worker needed” sign, due to the heavy hours he has been working. Sometime during the night, Jung Saet-Byulwalks into the store. She is now an adult and applies for the part-time job.

  • Episodes: 16
  • Release Date: June 19 – August 8, 2020
  • Runtime: Friday & Saturday 22:00

MY THOUGHTS

PLOT

still cutsLet’s start with, why it’s controversial. From what I read online, the main complaint was it’s too raunchy and of course the caricature of “Reggae boy”. But putting it all aside, It’s a pretty unique love story. First of all,it’s realistic. The main love interest isn’t some rich guy with a multimillion company, but just your average hard-working guy. To be honest the first 2 episodes I didn’t like, after the 4 episode I started to really enjoy it…but the two last episodes were a disappointment.

Overall I would recommend it if you are tired of the cliche k-drama plots and want something fresh and more “grown-up” , but still silly and fun!

3,5/5 Stars

THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN OUR MAIN COUPLE(S)?

So our main couple is Choi Dae-Hyun and Jung Saet-Byul ,yes we do get a little love triangle situation but it was gone half way of the show,so I don’t feel like it’s relevant to talk in this context. Was there chemistry between  Choi Dae-Hyun and Jung Saet-Byul? Yes and No,let me explain…First 4 episodes you could feel the awkwardness,I don’t know how or why,but you could feel they are not relly comfortable with each other. After that I started to see the chemistry, but in my opinion there where not enough cute scenes overall and that’s a shame!

HOW IT ENDS

Yes, we had a little bit of love triangle with Eun-Woo,but it wasn’t really explored …so I will not talk about it in this context. So our main couple, was there Chemistry?
