  1. After All I’ve Done by Mina Hardy

I got this as an ARc and I loved it. My favorite book last month,it had eveything- mystery, family drama, posible murder. It’s a trilling story and I highly recommend it! I have a whole review you can read here.

2.Nice Werewolves Don’t Bite Vampires(Half-Moon Hollow #8)by Molly Harper

This was fun, light and super cute. I love Molly Hareper’s writing, and the plot is always interesting. Yes,it does talks about emotional abuse ,so just be aware of it.I didn’t give it higher rating because ..I don’t know,I didn’t feel in love with the romance…Overall would recommend.

3.Misfits(Royal Academy Rebels #1)by Jen Calonita

I don’t know why but I expected it to be YA,but it’s middle grade. It was okay, like a proper fairytale retelling. 3 stars .Cover is BEAUTIFUL!

4.She Died Famous by Kyle Rutkin

Amazing!Beautiful and definitely a must read!!!! My full review you can find here.

5.The Duke Meets His Match by Karen Tuft

I got this as an Arc (you can read the full review here),and well it was okay. It’s marketed as a clean Christian romance, but to be honest there wasn’t a lot of metions of God or Christianity. Just the appropriate amount for the time period.

6.The Earl Not Taken(The Wallflowers of West Lane #1)by A.S. Fenichel

Fun fact..I was denied for an arc of this one ,now I’m kind of glad…because it wasn’t good. I have a whole review you can read here.

7.Crazy Stupid Bromance(Bromance Book Club #3)by Lyssa Kay Adams

I love the Bromance Book club series!Such fun and cozy books to read…but this one wasn’t my favorite. Like don’t get me wrong,it was nice…just not my favorite. If you want full review tell me in the comments down below.

The Duke Meets His Match by Karen Tuft -ARC review

54737526. sx318 At thirty years of age, Susan Jennings has long been considered a spinster. Exceptionally intelligent, she has little tolerance for London and the dreaded Season—if that’s how one is expected to find love, it’s not for her. But when an invitation arrives that cannot be ignored, Susan leaves her comfortable life in the country and enters the fashion and frivolity she most despises. She quickly discovers, however, that there is more to loathe in London—and his name is George Kendall.

George, Duke of Aylesham, has learned to keep his distance from cloying females chasing the title of duchess. Susan Jennings, however, proves an entirely different challenge—a woman who has pushed him to the limit of his patience with their every encounter. But their simmering hostility is disrupted by a thoughtless slip-up: to avoid a marriage of political strategy, George claims he is already betrothed. And when pressed for the name of the lucky woman, only one name comes to mind: Susan’s. Their forced betrothal proves advantageous, but when their verbal sparring must change in order to be convincing, the line between fact and fiction becomes blurred by something neither expected: love.

OVERALL – 3/5 STARS

First of all, I love the cover, it’s simple but at the same time beautiful. The writing was good, I liked how detailed it was, but the passing of the book was all over the place . Really enjoyed the use of real historical figures (like Prince Regent and Lord Alvanley) But…sadly our couple Gorge and Susan didn’t have enough chemistry together for mine liking. Overall it was okay if you like classical literature you will love this one!

I was provided with an eARC of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

She Died Famous by Kyle Rutkin – book review

joanna-kosinska-kKfVAvdBsAw-unsplash

46063874. sy475 A Star is Born meets Gone Girl, in this dark and twisted love story with an unforgettable conclusion.

The headline read: “Hollywood Superstar Kelly Trozzo Found Dead.”

With no suspect in custody, authorities turn their attention to best-selling author Kaleb Reed, whose obsessive relationship with the star has been followed by social media and tabloids alike.

In his online confession, Reed claims that his relationship with Trozzo began with a tweet, an unexpected endorsement from the pop star herself. Almost overnight, Reed’s novel garners national attention, and the reclusive writer is thrust into the spotlight. But according to Reed, the endorsement came with a price.

In the days that follow, Reed is invited to Trozzo’s Los Angeles mansion, where he is solicited to write her memoir. Lured by her physical appeal and charisma, Reed delves further and further into Trozzo’s fantasy world, ensnared by a twisted story of betrayal and vengeance.

On the night of Trozzo’s death, Reed finally discovers his true role in this story, as well as the pop star’s alternative ending to his famous novel—one that leads to his arrest.

Set in Hollywood, She Died Famous is an innovative thriller that exposes the dark side of fame and obsession in today’s digital landscape. The story’s shocking twists and unreliable narrator will have every reader asking: Who killed Kelly Trozzo?

This is not what I expected …in a good way! I decided to pick this book up because of the gorgeous cover (I mean…. look at it!😍). The writing style was very unique ,it’s told in blogposts, Newspaper articles, interviews, and police transcripts. Sometimes I felt like it’s real ,Kelly is real…and I’m actually reading a news report about a dead Hollywood it girl. I LOVED it !!!! Truly , such a good book and a unique story. Would definitely recommend for you to check this mystery out. The perfect read for October.

FAVORITE QUOTES FROM THE BOOK

This is Hollywood. Your princess is cunning. Prince Charming is evil. Dragons, demons, and darkness are hidden in us all. There are no bluebirds, no fairy godmothers. No shortage of monsters. We must save ourselves.

The place we fell in love. Before the secrets. Before my sins. Before I ever published my novel.

Authors don’t become overnight sensations, or casually land on the New York Times Best Sellers list. We are supposed to fight, claw, write until we outlast the amateurs, master the craft.
—-
She was right. That book changed my life. It changed all our lives. Look where we are, detective. And there’s so much more to uncover.
—–
And because of that, I won’t be just another girl who died famous. My story will be written in the skies.

After All I’ve Done by Mina Hardy- ARC review

joanna-kosinska-kKfVAvdBsAw-unsplash

Writing as Mina Hardy, New York Times bestselling author Megan Hart delivers a thrilling new psychological suspense for fans of The Woman in the Window and When the Lights Go Out.
She’s lost her best friend, her husband–and possibly, her mind.

Five months ago, an accident left Diana Sparrow badly injured and missing a few months of her memory. As if that’s not enough, she’s started having recurring nightmares about the night of the accident. Dreams that feel so real, she’s left questioning: maybe she didn’t just slide off the road into a ditch. Maybe, just maybe, she hit something. Or someone.

5 starsOVERALL – 5/5 STARS

I requested this book because of the cover and if you know me…I love beautiful covers. This had my mind BLOWN! It’s my first book by the author but I’m already in love. The writing style was phenomenal, the story was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I loved the dual point of view(the mistress and the wife). If you liked “Before I Go to Sleep” by S.J. Watson then you will love this one.One of the wildest books I have read in a long time.

Thank you Crooked Lane Books and Netgalley for the e-ARC of this book. All opinions are mine.
