How to start a budget for Christmas(FREE PRINTABLE)-Blogtober day 14

Hello, My Darlings! It’s day 14 of Blogtober…Yes, yes you read it right we are talking Christmas budget and how to save money(it’s never too early). “Thanks” to the pandemic I don’t have a stable income anymore, so budgeting is important and very needed. Here are some tips and tricks that actually work(and at the end of the post you will find a free pdf).

Start buying stuff Now! YES NOW!

You see a great deal on candles? Buy some! You go grocery shopping and find a cute blanket at a discount your aunt would totally love? Get it , It’s easier to spend 10 euros every month now than 30 euros in December. What will you feel more?

Decide what you want to buy to buy and google it

You decided on these cute socks for your boyfriend? Don’t buy the first ones you find, Google it. There is a very good chance you will find it cheaper. Do your research.

Handmade is always a great idea!

Handmade gifts(or something handmade to put too your gift) are always a great idea and usually really affordable. Get inspired, look on Pinterest, and get creative.

Don’t overspend

It’s so easy to just go on and buy more and more, not stopping. So make a budget and stick to it. Feel free to download this free printable to make your life easier this festive season.

Throwback to Summer”Trip to Sigulda”-Blogtober day 13

Hello, My Darlings! It’s day 13 of Blogtober and we are looking back to some fun summer memories. This summer I was lucky enough to travel Latvia with my darling Boyfriend. One of my favorite trips was to Sigulda, with so much history and beautiful nature.

Gutma’s Cave-The oldes tourist attraction in Latvia

This is the widest and highest cave in the Baltic.Tourists have wished to leave “decorations” such as names, initials, and the dates of their trips inscribed on the cave’s walls since the cave’s inception. You can see coats of arms and names of numerous barons and estate owners inside the cave.

Local craftsmen would wait for wealthier tourists near the cave with tools, stepladders, and templates to make these to order for a price.

Now the cave is a protected archeological and geological monument, so no writing on the walls.

The Krimulda Castle

The Krimulda Castle is located just outside Sigulda, Sigulda municipality, Latvia, and is a tourist attraction. The castle dates from the 14th century and was destroyed in a war in 1601 and it still stands, and the view from it is beautiful.

Inside the castle

Krimuldas Church-The oldest church in Latvia

Built-in 1205, this ancient church is the oldest functioning house of worship in Latvia. It is closely associated with the Livonian chieftain Kaupo who is either buried in or nearby the church depending on which sources you choose to believe. Kaupo was the first important tribal chief in the area to embrace the Christian faith and even made a pilgrimage to Rome where Pope Innocent III received him and recognized him as the ruler of the Livonian tribes in present-day Latvia.

He left with a gift of gold with which he build the church. It’s located in a beautiful area surrounded by streams, forests, and nature trails as well as the 18th-century Minister’s House accessible by a wooden pedestrian bridge. Truly an amazing place , a beautiful one too.

Overall I would highly recommend you to visit Sigulda when traveling to Latvia. It’s beautiful and full of history(and you will definitely take instagram worthy photos).

September Favorites(2021 edition)-Blogtober day 10

Hello, My Darlings! How are you? It’s Blogtober day 10 and we are talking favorites(beauty, books, and Music), September favorites to be exact. Last month was full of trips, memories, and my birthday(post about it you can read here). My favorites are all over the place, let’s dive into it!

Micellar Shampoo 5 Herbs Power Chistaya Liniya - Чистая линия Мягкий Мицеллярный Шампунь Экспертный уход 5в1, 250 мл

Super affordable shampoo that works. For 400 ml I paid 2.34 euro. And this smells amazing! Like sooo good, and my hair looks amazing after using it.Gentle shampoo(like super gentle), my hair color doesn’t fade after using and that’s always good. Would definitely recommend it.

The Girls by Emma Cline

Most memorable book I read in September. And the cover looks very spooky.

My review you can read here

Hello, My Darlings!Hope you all are doing great. It’s day 5 of Blogtober, and we are talking Date Ideas. Some of those are my favorites, so here are some cheap and free date night ideas you can try today.

Scary Movie Marathon

Get Popcorn, candy, some cozy blankets. Turn on your favorite scary movies and enjoy the night.Easy to plan and very affordable.

Puzzle Night

Do you like puzzles? So why not do one together! Get a puzzle from your local thrift store or Amazon(here is a very cool puzzle with Hidden Images you can look after putting it together), make some coffee or tea and put it together.

Take a walk in the woods or local park

Do you have a forest near you? Or maybe a park? Take coffee(or tea) and go for a long walk with your beloved. Cheap, no prep and it’s always nice to get some fresh air.

Get Lost on a Long Drive

This is our go-to date night plan. It’s so fun to just drive and talk. You can have such deep and fun conversations this way(or have an epic karaoke battle). I do recommend this date night idea.

My hair type is Oily on roots and dry at the ends because of all the chemicals in my hair dye, so picking a daily shampoo and conditioner is tricky. Dove is such an iconic brand, but I haven’t tried any hair products by them. So I found a shampoo and conditioner in a grocery store and was like…Why not try it?! And the price was good(1,79 euro for each). After a month of using here are my thoughts!

First of all the scent is AMAZING! And it stays in your hair for a while, if you don’t like that…then it could be a downside. For me it’s a major plus, I love my hair smelling nice. The shampoo has tiny shimmer particles, don’t know if it does anything but it does look pretty. The conditioner is nice and thick. After washing my hair every other day, I can say my hair feels smooth and very clean. The only downside is my hair color faded a little bit, I guess it’s the harsh sulfates in the shampoo. Overall I’m very happy with this duo if you can definitely try it.

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream for dark circles and puffiness-(mini)review

When it comes to the skin around the eyes, puffiness and dark circles are some of the most common concerns. Fortunately, the right eye cream can help smooth and brighten this delicate skin to help you look your best. Look for an eye cream formulated with ceramideshyaluronic acid and niacinamide to deliver hydration while also restoring the skin’s natural barrier. It’s also important to use a product that is ophthalmologist-tested for safety, like CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, which is suitable for use around the eyes.

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream features a Marine & Botanical Complex to help brighten the entire eye area. Suitable for all skin types, our non-greasy, fast-absorbing, fragrance-free eye cream also contains three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology that releases of moisture for prolonged skin hydration

My Thoughts

This one was given to me by my friend because it didn’t suit her skin. I have heard many good things about the brand, so I was excited to try it. I’m using it already for around 2 months, and here are my thoughts :

First of all, the texture is pretty thick. It doesn’t really have a scent, and that’s amazing. I’m someone who has awful dark circles, So How does my undereye area feel after this cream? To be honest...I don’t see any big changes. Yes, my undereye area is much smoother…but my dark circles are still there for good.Maybe it’s better for puffy eyes, but thankfully I don’t get puffy eyes, so I can’t comment on that. Another not-so-great thing, when even if the little bit of cream gets into the eye vision gets pretty blurry for some time and that’s super annoying. Would I repurchase it? Nope. Would I recommend it? Not really.

Art Trail near Tukums-Hiking Adventures

Hello My Darlings! How’s your summer going? This summer I was blessed with lots of interesting adventures, one of them was Hiking all around Latvia. One of the trails I recently traveled to(with My amazing Boyfriend) was The Art Trail near Tukums .So Tukums is around 1 hour away from Riga, the road was good and it was easy to find. It’s such an interesting concept. Basically you go around a forest trail(2 km +/-)l,and thru wooden frames enjoy the scenary. It was such an interesting trail, the start of it was a little mehh…but after it we really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect for such a walk.

Hope You enjoyed the photos!
