KODAK Digital Still Camera

Me and mom yesterday made a gingerbread house(It was a Christmas gift from mom’s business partner), as a fun holiday activity. We never made one before, and I can tell you it’s hard. KODAK Digital Still CameraSugar was everywhere, my hands were sticky and mom said I can’t eat it before we finish it(bummer). We had lots of fun, but the cleaning up after was a nightmare. I can’t believe we are already here, it’s crazy. Today I want to talk about Books, my favorite books of 2018. * Favorite Books of 2018 *

At the Stroke of Midnight

(Naughty Princess Club #1)

Tara Sivec

Meet the Naughty Princess Club: a brand new series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that introduces readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that ensue when three women start a new business to make it rain.

Once upon a time, Cynthia was the perfect housewife. Between being the President of the PTA and keeping her home spotless without a hair (or her pearls) out of place, her life was a dream come true. Her husband was once her knight in shining armor, but now he’s run off with all their money…and the babysitter.

Dressed as a princess at the annual Halloween block party on Fairytale Lane, she meets two other “princesses” also facing money troubles: antique store owner Ariel and librarian Isabelle. When the women are invited to wear their costumes to a party where they’re mistaken for strippers, Cindy, Ariel, and Belle realize that a career change could be the best way to make their money problems go bippity-boppity-boo.

But can structured Cindy approach a stripper pole without sanitizing wipes? And could the blue-eyed anti-prince that has been crossing her path become Cindy’s happily ever after? At the Stroke of Midnight is a hilarious, empowering story where princesses can save themselves while slaying in stilettos.

The Smallest Part

“In the end, only three things matter. How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”
– Unknown

It was a big lie. The biggest lie she’d ever told. It reverberated through her head as she said it, ringing eerily, and the girl behind her eyes—the girl who knew the truth—screamed, and her scream echoed along with the lie.
“Are you in love with Noah, Mercedes?” Cora asked. “I mean . . . I know you love him. You’ve been friends forever. We all have. But are you in love with him?”
If it had been anyone else—anyone—Mercedes would have stuck out her chest, folded her skinny arms, and let her feelings be known. She would have claimed him. But it was Cora. Brave, beautiful, broken Cora, and Cora loved Noah too.
So Mercedes lied.
And with that lie, she lost him. With that lie, she sealed her fate.
She was the best friend, the bridesmaid, the godmother, the glue. She was there for the good times and the bad, the ups and the downs, the biggest moments and the smallest parts. And she was there when it all came crashing down.
This is the tale of the girl who didn’t get the guy.

The Cruel Prince

(The Folk of the Air #1)

Holly Black

Of course I want to be like them. They’re beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.

And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.

Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.

To win a place at the Court, she must defy him–and face the consequences.

As Jude becomes more deeply embroiled in palace intrigues and deceptions, she discovers her own capacity for trickery and bloodshed. But as betrayal threatens to drown the Courts of Faerie in violence, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.

Because of Miss Bridgerton

(Rokesbys #1)

Julia Quinn

Sometimes you find love in the most unexpected of places…

This is not one of those times.

Everyone expects Billie Bridgerton to marry one of the Rokesby brothers. The two families have been neighbors for centuries, and as a child the tomboyish Billie ran wild with Edward and Andrew. Either one would make a perfect husband… someday.

Sometimes you fall in love with exactly the person you think you should…

Or not.

There is only one Rokesby Billie absolutely cannot tolerate, and that is George. He may be the eldest and heir to the earldom, but he’s arrogant, annoying, and she’s absolutely certain he detests her. Which is perfectly convenient, as she can’t stand the sight of him, either.

But sometimes fate has a wicked sense of humor…

Because when Billie and George are quite literally thrown together, a whole new sort of sparks begins to fly. And when these lifelong adversaries finally kiss, they just might discover that the one person they can’t abide is the one person they can’t live without…

Come Hell or Highball

(Discreet Retrieval Agency #1)

In this Prohibition-era caper, society matron Lola Woodby agrees to recover a stolen film reel for its rightful owner, but before she can retrieve it, the man in possession of the reel is killed

30-year-old society matron Lola Woodby has survived her loveless marriage with an unholy mixture of highballs, detective novels, and chocolate layer cake, until her husband dies suddenly, leaving her his fortune…or so Lola thought. As it turns out, all she inherits from Alfie is a big pile of debt. Pretty soon, Lola and her stalwart Swedish cook, Berta, are reduced to hiding out in the secret love nest Alfie kept in New York City. But when rent comes due, Lola and Berta have no choice but to accept an offer made by one of Alfie’s girls-on-the-side at his funeral: in exchange for a handsome sum of money, the girl wants Lola to retrieve a mysterious reel of film for her. It sounds like an easy enough way to earn the rent money. But Lola and Berta realize they’re in way over their heads when, before they can retrieve it, the man currently in possession of the film reel is murdered, and the reel disappears. On a quest to retrieve the reel and solve the murder before the killer comes after them next, Lola and Berta find themselves navigating one wacky situation after another in high style and low company.

Charming, witty, often laugh-out-loud funny, Maia Chance’s Come Hell or Highball introduces a sparkling new voice in crime fiction.

Grasping at Eternity

(Kindrily #1)

Leave it to Maryah Woodsen to break the one rule that will screw up eternity: Never erase your memories.

Before entering this life, Maryah did the unthinkable—she erased. Now, at seventeen years old, she’s clueless that her new adoptive family has known her for centuries, that they are perpetually reincarnated souls, and that they have supernatural abilities. Oh, and she’s supposed to love (not despise) Nathan, the green-eyed daredevil who saved her life.

Nathan is convinced his family’s plan to spark Maryah’s memory is hopeless, but his love for her is undying. After spending (and remembering) so many lifetimes together, being around an empty version of his soulmate is heart shattering. He hates acting like a stalker, but has no choice because the evil outcast who murdered Maryah in their last lifetime is still after her.

While Maryah’s hunter inches closer, she and Nathan make assumptions and hide secrets that rip them further apart. Maryah has to believe in the magic within her, Nathan must have faith in the power of their love, and both need to grasp onto the truth before they lose each other forever—and discover just how lonely eternity can be.

tenor (10)

Hello, my darlings! Finally, my orders from Aliexpress are coming in. If you don’t know what’s Aliexpress, that’s basically eBay but much better and safer in my opinion. Almost all of the individual sellers on Aliexpress are brand, like ASHIQI where I got this bracelet. This bracelet I got my mom for Christmas.

About the Product :

Total weight: 8.27g
Pearl Shape: Braoque
Pearl Colour: White Pink Purple Black Gray
Pearl Luster: Very Good

You can find this bracelet here!
My Thoughts:

Packaging and Shipping

4/5 stars

It came in a bubble wrapped package when I opened it I saw the original box. The box is sturdy and it’s made from a good cardstock. The only downside was the shipping, it was free but came to Latvia in two months(I made the order in October and got the bracelet in 19.December).

It’s simple and classic. The pearls do look like real ones, and I’m quite happy with the quality. For the price, it’s a good bracelet . The only downside for me was the size of the bracelet, for my tiny wrist it’s amazing, but for my mom who has a pretty wide wrist, it feels a little bit tight.

4/5 stars

For less than 3 euros I’m very happy with my purchase (I’m not even mad at the shipping ). The seller even put in a little gift (earrings and a hair tie ) The quality is good and I love the packaging . Would definitely recommend it if you need a gift for mom or anyone who loves jewelry.

More interesting stuff under 5 dollars you can find here

“Having a bad day”-Blogmas day 18

Photo by Matus Hatala on Unsplash

giphy (61)Hello, My darlings! Do you have days when things are just sliding from your hands and everything is going awfully wrong? I had one of those days today.I had a lot of things to do and was getting frustrated, but I felt like it was the best for me to take a break. Today I want to talk about things you can do to feel better when you are having a bad day!

Take a break

Sometimes it’s just the best to stop and take a deep breath.

tenor (12)

Drink some tea

Or drink whatever you like that makes you relaxed.

Get a bath or a shower

Water can wash all the stress away. A good soak will relax your body and make your mind a little clearer.

Remember it’s a bad day, not a bad life

Sometimes it’s hard to remember it, but it’s true . It’s just a bad day, and tomorrow will be better.

“How to cozy up your home this winter”-Blogmas Day 14

Photo by erin walker on Unsplash

giphy (54)Hello, Darlings!Welcome back to blogmas day 14. Can you imagine, Christmas is just around the corner and I still haven’t put up a Christmas tree. I had a pretty busy week this far(a little bit about I will talk tomorrow ). But today I want to talk about some things you can do to make your livings space a little bit cozier this winter. Let’s start!

Blankets are an amazing way to make everything cozy and homey. You can spice up your living space with different textures, colors, and patterns. You can go full winter mood with a Christmasy themed blanket or just a simple white one, to make your house cozier.

If I could put a candle in every corner of my house I would totally do that. Candles can bring such a beautiful low light into the room, and for an extra touch, you can go for scented one . My favorites right now are vanilla and orange.

760_1801106_Christmas-Wall-DecorAny kind of art/decals/words around the house can put you into Winter/Holiday mood. I love snowy prints and some interesting festive decals. It does make the house cozy(in my opinion )

Tell me in comments,What’s your favorite Candle scent?
