Hello, my darlings! How are you all doing? It’s Blogtober day 4 and we are talking Netflix shows. What’s your favorite Netflix show? I would love to read about it in the comments. So…The weather is becoming more and more cold and rainy, so here you have my list of shows to binge-watch on Netflix(and a cool list with checkmarks you can print). Let’s dive into it!
The Show list
When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids. The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town’s troubled history — whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986. “Dark” represents the first German original series produced for Netflix.
Why you should watch it?-Simple, this is the most mind-bending show ever made…I’m serious. It was such a gem we found. My and Boyfriend watched it, and so many theories …so much info to keep up with, but soooo worth it. Definitely a favorite you should watch
Hundreds of years in the future, the last surviving humans discover a way of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century — “travelers,” who assume the lives of seemingly random people. They’re also secretly working as teams to perform missions in order to save humanity from a terrible future. Armed only with their knowledge of history and an archive of social media profiles, the travelers — who include an FBI agent, a single mother and a college student — discover that 21st-century relationships are as much of a challenge as their high-stakes missions.
Why you should watch it?– If you are into timetraveling and scary thriller type movies ,this is for you(now thinking almost all of those are time traveling showa lol).Definetly a perfect fall tv-show you will enjoy.
Rick and Morty
After having been missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez suddenly arrives at daughter Beth’s doorstep to move in with her and her family. Although Beth welcomes Rick into her home, her husband, Jerry, isn’t as happy about the family reunion. Jerry is concerned about Rick, a sociopathic scientist, using the garage as his personal laboratory. In the lab, Rick works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous. But that’s not all Rick does that concerns Jerry. He also goes on adventures across the universe that often involve his grandchildren, Morty and Summer.
Why you should watch it?-A favorite of many, Rick and Morty is something you can binge-watch when you just want to “turn off” your brain and relax. Full of crude humor it’s definitely a show to watch with your brother/boyfriend or male friends.
What would you do for love? For a brilliant male bookstore manager who crosses paths with an aspiring female writer, this question is put to the test. A charming yet awkward crush becomes something even more sinister when the writer becomes the manager’s obsession. Using social media and the internet, he uses every tool at his disposal to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle –including people — that stands in his way of getting to her.
Why you should watch it?-This is creepy…a very realistic depiction of a stalker. I’m watching this one right now and this is good. A real-life “horror” story, mixed with love and drama.Binge-watching worthy!
Hotel Del Luna
Located in the middle of Seoul, Hotel del Luna is the eponymous hotel that caters only to ghosts; the beautiful but ill-tempered CEO is cursed to manage the hotel due to a terrible crime she committed, but cannot remember.
Why you should watch it?-One of my favorites tv-shows ever. It’s spooky, funny, creepy, and heartbreaking…utterly perfection. If you haven’t watched it or are new to kdramas please give it a try.
The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world in which people often prove more wicked than beasts.
Why you should watch it?-Another one to watch with your boyfriend…Ohhh this was good( season 2 is coming in December, I’m so excited). Perfect to binge-watch if you are an epic fantasy fan or love adventure shows.
Northern California, during the violent end of the 1960s. At the start of summer, a lonely and thoughtful teenager, Evie Boyd, sees a group of girls in the park, and is immediately caught by their freedom, their careless dress, their dangerous aura of abandon. Soon, Evie is in thrall to Suzanne, a mesmerizing older girl, and is drawn into the circle of a soon-to-be infamous cult and the man who is its charismatic leader. Hidden in the hills, their sprawling ranch is eerie and run down, but to Evie, it is exotic, thrilling, charged—a place where she feels desperate to be accepted. As she spends more time away from her mother and the rhythms of her daily life, and as her obsession with Suzanne intensifies, Evie does not realize she is coming closer and closer to unthinkable violence, and to that moment in a girl’s life when everything can go horribly wrong.

This was like nothing I expected. So I decided to get it thanks to my boyfriend(he gave me a gift card for my name day), I have seen this one around the book side of the internet like two years ago, so seeing it in Latvian was trilling. My thoughts-It was very prose heavy. The story was interesting, engaging…sometimes too graphic(like VERY graphic). The cult part of this story heavily reminded The Manson family cult, I could easily see the similarities. As a true crime fan, it was interesting. While reading it, I was very confused why some called this a “coming of age story” because this was screaming more like “neglecting parents of a teen who is seeking love in all the wrong places”. Overall it was good, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone under 16.

My hair type is Oily on roots and dry at the ends because of all the chemicals in my hair dye, so picking a daily shampoo and conditioner is tricky. Dove is such an iconic brand, but I haven’t tried any hair products by them. So I found a shampoo and conditioner in a grocery store and was like…Why not try it?! And the price was good(1,79 euro for each). After a month of using here are my thoughts!
First of all the scent is AMAZING! And it stays in your hair for a while, if you don’t like that…then it could be a downside. For me it’s a major plus, I love my hair smelling nice. The shampoo has tiny shimmer particles, don’t know if it does anything but it does look pretty. The conditioner is nice and thick. After washing my hair every other day, I can say my hair feels smooth and very clean. The only downside is my hair color faded a little bit, I guess it’s the harsh sulfates in the shampoo. Overall I’m very happy with this duo if you can definitely try it.
When it comes to the skin around the eyes, puffiness and dark circles are some of the most common concerns. Fortunately, the right eye cream can help smooth and brighten this delicate skin to help you look your best. Look for an eye cream formulated with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to deliver hydration while also restoring the skin’s natural barrier. It’s also important to use a product that is ophthalmologist-tested for safety, like CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, which is suitable for use around the eyes.
CeraVe Eye Repair Cream features a Marine & Botanical Complex to help brighten the entire eye area. Suitable for all skin types, our non-greasy, fast-absorbing, fragrance-free eye cream also contains three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology that releases of moisture for prolonged skin hydration
This one was given to me by my friend because it didn’t suit her skin. I have heard many good things about the brand, so I was excited to try it. I’m using it already for around 2 months, and here are my thoughts :
First of all, the texture is pretty thick. It doesn’t really have a scent, and that’s amazing. I’m someone who has awful dark circles, So How does my undereye area feel after this cream? To be honest...I don’t seeany big changes. Yes, my undereye area is much smoother…but my dark circles are still there for good.Maybe it’s better for puffy eyes, but thankfully I don’t get puffy eyes, so I can’t comment on that. Another not-so-great thing, when even if the little bit of cream gets into the eye vision gets pretty blurry for some time and that’s super annoying. Would I repurchase it? Nope. Would I recommend it? Not really.
Hello My Darlings! How’s your summer going? This summer I was blessed with lots of interesting adventures, one of them was Hiking all around Latvia. One of the trails I recently traveled to(with My amazing Boyfriend) was The Art Trail near Tukums .So Tukums is around 1 hour away from Riga, the road was good and it was easy to find. It’s such an interesting concept. Basically you go around a forest trail(2 km +/-)l,and thru wooden frames enjoy thescenary. It was such an interesting trail, the start of it was a little mehh…but after it we really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect for such a walk.

This was an interesting one…I didn’t know it was the 3rd book in a series, so the first 7 pages were confusing. But after getting over it, the story was enjoyable. It was wholesome, well written, and really atmospherical. I liked the romance, it was sweet. The only thing, the English in this one was really “proper” as in 1800 proper. So as a person whose native language is not english, it was hard to read fast, and if you are a beginner english reader…skip this one!
Hello, My darlings! So I and my Darling Boyfriend are continuing to travel thru Latvia and this time we visited Rundale the famous Rundales Castle. It was my first time visiting and I loved it.
First of all, it’s so beautiful, yes…the tickets were on the expensive side but it was definitely worth it. The only downside was…rain and gray skies, so lots of rooms were darker and the pictures I took are not the best(so I’m sorry about it). It was so amazing to be at a place with such rich history and learn more about it. If you are planning to visit, be ready to walk A LOT. So wear some comfy shoes.
In 1735 Duke of Courland Ernst Johann von Biron bought land in Rundāle with an old medieval castle in the territory of a planned summer residence. The old castle was demolished and construction after the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli started in 1736. Construction proceeded slowly because part of the materials and resources were transferred to the construction of Jelgava Palace, a project which was more important for the duke.
Following Biron’s fall from grace in 1740, the palace stood unfinished and empty until 1762 when Biron returned from his exile. Under the supervision of Rastrelli its construction was finished in 1768. Johann Michael Graff produced lavish stucco decorations for the palace during this time. Ernst Johann von Biron loved the palace and moved there almost immediately in 1768. He often visited the palace and spent summers there until his death in 1772.
After Duchy of Courland and Semigallia was absorbed by the Russian Empire in 1795, Catherine the Great presented the palace to Count Valerian Zubov, the youngest brother of her lover, Prince Platon Zubov. He spent his declining years thereafter the death of Valerian Zubov in 1804. His young widow, Thekla Walentinowicz, a local landowner’s daughter, married Count Shuvalov, and the palace passed into the control of the Shuvalov family, with whom it remained until the German occupation in World War I when the German army established a hospital and a commandant’s office there.
During the French invasion of Russia in 1812, the palace was used as a hospital for Napoleon’s army. Several soldiers who died in this hospital were buried in the park of the palace. A monument has since been built there. At the end of the 19th century, the palace and park were restored and reconstructed.
The palace was dealt a serious blow after World War II, when a grain storehouse was set up in the premises in addition to the school. Later, the duke’s dining room was transformed into the school’s gymnasium. A school was located in the palace until 1978.
