for pinterestHello, My Darlings! How are you? If you are new here My name is Anna and I’m a beauty and Lifestyle blogger from Latvia. One of mine New Years resolutions was to Learn Spanish and after many hours of googling, I found some resources, but not just for Spanish. And I thought why not to share it with my followers, Maybe some of you would benefit from it . Let’s dive into it!

Every course on Coursera is taught by top instructors from the world’s best universities and educational institutions. Courses include recorded video lectures, auto-graded and peer-reviewed assignments, and community discussion forums(you can access them by paying for a certificate, totally optional in my opinion). This is a great free resource for learning almost anything (I’m right now taking The Bible’s Prehistory, Purpose, and Political Future by Emory University and I love it). And the Language courses can be a great way to learn basics.

Some Great  Language Ones from Coursera

First Step Korean By Yonsei University(I’m taking this one )

Spanish Vocabulary: Meeting People by the University of California, Davis(I’m taking this one)

Chinese for Beginners by Peking University

Language Apps

Apps are a great way to learn and practice a language at any time or place, you just need Wifi. Here are some of my favorites that I had used. They are both free and that’s always a plus.

Learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch, Irish, Danish, Swedish, Ukrainian, Esperanto, Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Norwegian, Hebrew, Welsh, English, Swahili and Romanian.
Practice your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills while playing a game! I think everyone knows about Doulingo, it’s a free app that can help you to learn the basic vocabulary. Would totally recommend for quick and easy word review.

Google play/App store

Join 90 million Busuu users waiting to help you learn a language!

Become a member of the Busuu Community and have your speaking and writing exercises corrected by native speakers. Plus, you can help others in your native language! Currently offered: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, and Arabic.

I’m using this one right now and enjoying it. It’s very similar to Doulingo in Lesson plans and overview

Textbooks /Online Lessons

Here are some Lessons I have tried and loved, and some new stuff I found while looking for materials for learning.

Full Japanese lessons – Easy Japanese

I have tried this one and I love it! It’s such a good introduction to the Japanese language, easy to understand and great for self-learners.

Basic Online – Ukrainian Lessons

As someone who speaks Ukrainian, I can say these small vocabulary “lessons” are very well made and easy to understand. I wouldn’t use them for the whole curriculum(if you are trying to get fluent) but as an introduction and supplements – AMAZING!

Korean Textbook(PDF) + Audio – Korean from Zero

You can buy a printed textbook on book depository

I have this one and can’t wait to get started. It’s very textbook-based, so if you are a visual learner try to look for something else.

Textbook – Basic Spanish(PDF)

You can buy a printed textbook on book depository (second edition)

I got this one too, and I really love it. I’m already using it (on the 2 Lesson )and it’s so easy to understand. I don’t know any Spanish, and this program starts with the most basic (like family members or around the house ). Love it!

A Basic Modern Russian Grammar (PDF)

Just a basic Grammar PDF, a great supplement if you are learning Russian.

Ah Youtube, you can find everything on it! And Language lessons are one of those things. It’s a great way to really hear the language and pronunciation.

Basic Portuguese

Basic Latvian (Nice to Meet You)

Basic Korean

Basic Spanish

Basic Estonian

Hope you find it helpful

Tell me in the comments, Are you learning any new language right now?

That’s it from me

Till next time

Blogging for 3 Years -What have I learned

Photo by Nicole Honeywill on Unsplash

Hello, My Darlings or Hey if you are new here!I’m Anna a beauty and lifestyle blogger from Latvia. How are you all doing? So if you didn’t know I started my blog in 2017, 3 years ago now. I have learned a lot at this time, and being a part of the blogging community did change my life in many ways. Let’s talk about some of those things I learned!

 Scheduling posts is a MUST

Feeling Inspired? Amazing…write until you drop and then schedule. Yes, I know sounds wild, but this is the way it works for me. If you don’t know WordPress has an amazing feature called Post Scheduling. Basically, you write when you can and/or feel inspired and then schedule for, let’s say next week and it will post it for you. This feature is one of my favorites and so important for me.

Planning, Planning and again Planning

This is self-explanatory, we all have lives outside of Blogging (Family, Job, Friends, etc) so planning not only your posts but the time when you can write is important. I always write down 20 ideas what I want to write in the month, and then when I have time (and inspiration) I take one of those ideas and go with it. It does make my life a little bit easier.

Visual media is a great way to add on a story

I know some people who don’t like to put lot’s of visual media in they’re posts and that’s totally cool. But for me…I love to put as much Gif’s as I can.Gif’s, videos, photos….those things can add SOOOO much to the story!

Creepy stories help me write!

This one was such a random thing I learned about myself. I’m one of those people that need white noise,  It helps me to get in the “writing zone”.But creepy stories?! That was something new.

Photos….learn to take them!

This was something I did know I need to learn, but I didn’t know how important it really was! Photos can make your post or break it, and you don’t get it before actually seeing it. So I’m trying to do my best and put up good quality content with beautiful photos.

Hello, world! Today I want to talk about something important. If you didn’t know the European Parliament are in the process of voting for article 13, that will change the internet as we know it.

So what is Article 13? (Because I’m very bad at explaining stuff in English  ,here you have some good educational videos )

What can we do about it? First of all talk about it, bring community awareness about Article 13 and why it’s a problem using the hashtag #SaveYourInternet . Second ,I did find a petition on change.org that you can sign here !

That’s it from me

21 Thing I learned at 21

Hello, World. My 22. birthdays is in 10 days, so I decided to look back at all the life lessons I have learned in my 21 years on this earth.Hope you will enjoy.

  1. Love yourself first, because no one else will do it for you. That’s sad but true
  2. Education is important but your health is always the priority. So don’t feel bad if you can’t graduate on time or your grades suffer, it’s not the end of the world.
  3. Don’t Regret your decisions, You made them and there is no going back!
  4. It’s okay to be single, there is no shame of waiting for the right person
  5. Say No to the toxic relationship in your life!Yes, relatives too.
  6. It’s just a bad day, not a bad life.
  7. Don’t be afraid of trying new things, even if they are “silly”.
  8. If you can -travel, It’s a great way to get new friends and see new places.
  9. You want to wear that short jeans skirt? Then do it, Don’t wait for the right time.
  10. There is no such thing as “Right time”
  11. Your Mom is right …sometimes.Shocking but true.
  12. Try to eat healthily.I know that’s hard, but trust me it’s worth it.
  13. Telling lies…Not the best idea. They do eventually come and bite you.
  14. If you want to be successful, get ready to work hard!
  15. It’s Okay to be different. You are still worthy!
  16. Have a skin care routine! You will be thanking yourself in the future
  17. Don’t get too drunk.Hungover is one of the worst things ever!
  18. If You want something to stay privet, then don’t share it. People talk, even the closest ones.
  19. It’s okay to cry sometimes. It doesn’t make you weak.
  20.  Being a grown up is hard and not fun as you thought.
  21. Learn to enjoy the little things. Like Coffe smell in the morning or rain sound outside. Our lives are made of those little precious moments, don’t overlook them.
