My hair type is Oily on roots and dry at the ends because of all the chemicals in my hair dye, so picking a daily shampoo and conditioner is tricky. Dove is such an iconic brand, but I haven’t tried any hair products by them. So I found a shampoo and conditioner in a grocery store and was like…Why not try it?! And the price was good(1,79 euro for each). After a month of using here are my thoughts!
First of all the scent is AMAZING! And it stays in your hair for a while, if you don’t like that…then it could be a downside. For me it’s a major plus, I love my hair smelling nice. The shampoo has tiny shimmer particles, don’t know if it does anything but it does look pretty. The conditioner is nice and thick. After washing my hair every other day, I can say my hair feels smooth and very clean. The only downside is my hair color faded a little bit, I guess it’s the harsh sulfates in the shampoo. Overall I’m very happy with this duo if you can definitely try it.
When it comes to the skin around the eyes, puffiness and dark circles are some of the most common concerns. Fortunately, the right eye cream can help smooth and brighten this delicate skin to help you look your best. Look for an eye cream formulated with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to deliver hydration while also restoring the skin’s natural barrier. It’s also important to use a product that is ophthalmologist-tested for safety, like CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, which is suitable for use around the eyes.
CeraVe Eye Repair Cream features a Marine & Botanical Complex to help brighten the entire eye area. Suitable for all skin types, our non-greasy, fast-absorbing, fragrance-free eye cream also contains three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology that releases of moisture for prolonged skin hydration
This one was given to me by my friend because it didn’t suit her skin. I have heard many good things about the brand, so I was excited to try it. I’m using it already for around 2 months, and here are my thoughts :
First of all, the texture is pretty thick. It doesn’t really have a scent, and that’s amazing. I’m someone who has awful dark circles, So How does my undereye area feel after this cream? To be honest...I don’t seeany big changes. Yes, my undereye area is much smoother…but my dark circles are still there for good.Maybe it’s better for puffy eyes, but thankfully I don’t get puffy eyes, so I can’t comment on that. Another not-so-great thing, when even if the little bit of cream gets into the eye vision gets pretty blurry for some time and that’s super annoying. Would I repurchase it? Nope. Would I recommend it? Not really.
Hello My Darlings! How’s your summer going? This summer I was blessed with lots of interesting adventures, one of them was Hiking all around Latvia. One of the trails I recently traveled to(with My amazing Boyfriend) was The Art Trail near Tukums .So Tukums is around 1 hour away from Riga, the road was good and it was easy to find. It’s such an interesting concept. Basically you go around a forest trail(2 km +/-)l,and thru wooden frames enjoy thescenary. It was such an interesting trail, the start of it was a little mehh…but after it we really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect for such a walk.
So I decided to try Sinsay new cosmetics line, those blushes was on sale and I was like- Why not to try?.I got two blushes one is-Peach,and other – Dusty Rose.Let’s talk about them.
Those blushes came in a minimalistic black packacking,no box ,no nothing like that. Easy to open and close.
TEXTURE AND QUALITY
It has no scent, that’s the biggest thing I was afraid of and I’m glad it doesn’t have it. The texture is light, a little bit chalky, but it’s not critical. I love using Peach as a contour, it’s such a beautiful color. Easy to blend, easy to build up.
I’m shocked how good those are, for the price(a little over 2 euros) it’s amazing, I Will get more of sinsay makeup. Overall would recommend it for you to try.
Hello, My darlings! So I and my Darling Boyfriend are continuing to travel thru Latvia and this time we visited Rundale the famous Rundales Castle. It was my first time visiting and I loved it.
First of all, it’s so beautiful, yes…the tickets were on the expensive side but it was definitely worth it. The only downside was…rain and gray skies, so lots of rooms were darker and the pictures I took are not the best(so I’m sorry about it). It was so amazing to be at a place with such rich history and learn more about it. If you are planning to visit, be ready to walk A LOT. So wear some comfy shoes.
In 1735 Duke of Courland Ernst Johann von Biron bought land in Rundāle with an old medieval castle in the territory of a planned summer residence. The old castle was demolished and construction after the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli started in 1736. Construction proceeded slowly because part of the materials and resources were transferred to the construction of Jelgava Palace, a project which was more important for the duke.
Following Biron’s fall from grace in 1740, the palace stood unfinished and empty until 1762 when Biron returned from his exile. Under the supervision of Rastrelli its construction was finished in 1768. Johann Michael Graff produced lavish stucco decorations for the palace during this time. Ernst Johann von Biron loved the palace and moved there almost immediately in 1768. He often visited the palace and spent summers there until his death in 1772.
After Duchy of Courland and Semigallia was absorbed by the Russian Empire in 1795, Catherine the Great presented the palace to Count Valerian Zubov, the youngest brother of her lover, Prince Platon Zubov. He spent his declining years thereafter the death of Valerian Zubov in 1804. His young widow, Thekla Walentinowicz, a local landowner’s daughter, married Count Shuvalov, and the palace passed into the control of the Shuvalov family, with whom it remained until the German occupation in World War I when the German army established a hospital and a commandant’s office there.
During the French invasion of Russia in 1812, the palace was used as a hospital for Napoleon’s army. Several soldiers who died in this hospital were buried in the park of the palace. A monument has since been built there. At the end of the 19th century, the palace and park were restored and reconstructed.
The palace was dealt a serious blow after World War II, when a grain storehouse was set up in the premises in addition to the school. Later, the duke’s dining room was transformed into the school’s gymnasium. A school was located in the palace until 1978.
Hello My Darlings! My amazing Boyfriend got me a giftcard for my nameday…and I got to spend it last week. So here are the books I got. Let’s dive into it!
Sun on a twine blade Book I. by Dace Priede
There are many autobiographical motifs in the novel – it is a message about the complicated, contradictory life of a young actress Arta in Latvia in the 1970s, which is accompanied by the romantic imagination of the new Baron Jacques René, born in Arta’s fantasies.
To be honest this was a 100% cover buy. I loved the design and after reading the synopsis I was sold. Can’t wait to finally get to it.
There are no coincidences. Aurelie Bredin, a beautiful Parisian restaurateur, is sure of this truth. On a gloomy Friday in November, when Aurelie is feeling depressed after a breakup, she discovers a novel entitled ‘The Smiles of Women’ in a quaint bookshop on the Ile-St.-Louis. Astonishingly, her restaurant and she herself are featured in its pages. After reading the entire book in one night, Aurelie wishes more than anything to meet the author of the novel because she is convinced that, without even realising it, he has saved her life. However, her wish proves to be a difficult, almost impossible, endeavour.”
In Latvian, this one has another name,-Women’s smile. Interesting why did they change it, because The Ingredients of Love makes more sense. I do like the cover and the synopsis sounded like a light romance in Paris. I Will read it on the beach.
Northern California, during the violent end of the 1960s. At the start of summer, a lonely and thoughtful teenager, Evie Boyd, sees a group of girls in the park, and is immediately caught by their freedom, their careless dress, their dangerous aura of abandon. Soon, Evie is in thrall to Suzanne, a mesmerizing older girl, and is drawn into the circle of a soon-to-be infamous cult and the man who is its charismatic leader. Hidden in the hills, their sprawling ranch is eerie and run down, but to Evie, it is exotic, thrilling, charged—a place where she feels desperate to be accepted. As she spends more time away from her mother and the rhythms of her daily life, and as her obsession with Suzanne intensifies, Evie does not realize she is coming closer and closer to unthinkable violence, and to that moment in a girl’s life when everything can go horribly wrong.
Uuuu…This sounds amazing. A cult?In the 60s?Yes, please! I was sold. Before seeing it in the bookstore I did see it on bookstagram last year,so I knew people loved it. Can’t wait!
To earn a secret so profound, I would need to tell momentous lies, and make as many people as possible believe them…
Faith Sunderly leads a double life. To most people, she is modest and well mannered—a proper young lady who knows her place. But inside, Faith is burning with questions and curiosity. She keeps sharp watch of her surroundings and, therefore, knows secrets no one suspects her of knowing—like the real reason her family fled Kent to the close-knit island of Vane. And that her father’s death was no accident.
In pursuit of revenge and justice for the father she idolizes, Faith hunts through his possessions, where she discovers a strange tree. A tree that only bears fruit when she whispers a lie to it. The fruit, in turn, delivers a hidden truth. The tree might hold the key to her father’s murder. Or, it might lure the murderer directly to Faith herself, for lies—like fires, wild and crackling—quickly take on a life of their own.
LOOK AT THE COVER!!! Total cover buy…I mean, it’s soooo beautiful. And the synopsis sounds super good. I’m definitely getting to it this month.

And if you know me, I always love to try new products. So…I loved this one. It’s not oily and doesn’t break me out. The color is not the best match( I have Light), but in the summer it’s good.
From Martin Luther’s Wittenberg Theses by Meika Roth-Beka and Klauss Enzikat
This was very interesting. It’s a short story of Martin Luther and his Theses that changed the Christian world. It’s a picture book, but it’s not for children(I would say it’s for ages 12 and up). It would be a good supplement for history lessons.
Sisyphus The Myth
I have watched the first 4 episodes, and my mind was blown. It’s so good! Can’t wait to see were the story will go.
Hello, My Darlings! How are you all doing? This summer I and Boyfriend are having the time of our life traveling all over Latvia. One of the last adventures we had was in Cecilu nature trail near Ieriķi. It was themed by the local legend of a devil and his two wifes’ witches who lived there.
We walked the “short” trail of 2,5 km. And Can say it was hard, because of the heat(it was around 34C ) and mosquitos (thank you God for the spray), but guys…it was sooo beautiful. There was a mini waterfall and a “secret forest house” you needed to find.
To be honest, I wasn’t dressed appropriately(the whole trip was very spontaneous). So the whole hike was in a pencil skirt…at least I looked very cute.
Overall we had a ton of fun and I would totally recommend for you to check it out if you are in Latvia.
