MY THOUGHTS

ALIVE 2020 Tumblr posts - Tumbral.comWOW! I’m impressed! The first zombie movie I actually enjoyed. Let’s start from the beginning … So on one of our date nights my boyfriend was browsing Netflix for something to watch together, and he found this one. I wasn’t really excited…because of zombies(I hate Zombies with a passion), but when I saw the actors…alive (2020) | Explore Tumblr Posts and Blogs | TumgirI knew we NEED to watch it. I loved Yoo Ah-In in Chicago Typewriter and the darling Park Shin-Hye (she was in kdramas like –Pinocchio , Flower Boy Next Door, Heartstrings) is my favorite actress EVER! And guys…THIS WAS AMAZING. Truly! The story was very interesting, and it had a unique thing- most of the “action” happens in an apartment complex. Was it gory? Yes! Was it overall gory? Yes and No! Like, it was bearable even for me a person who gets scared pretty easily. Overall I would recommend for you to check it out.

Why King: Eternal Monarch is my favorite Kdrama at this moment!

Hello, my Darlings! How are you all doing? I just finished King: Eternal Monarch and it was amazing! Now I have a hangover and I need to talk about it. So let’s dive into it!

About the drama: Yi Gon is the third Korean emperor of his generation. His citizens regard him as the perfect leader.
But behind this flawless appearance, hides a deep wound.
When he was eight years old, his father was murdered before his eyes following a coup.
Today, instead of respecting his filial duty, he prefers to escape the palace to attend university conferences. During one of his escapades,
he sees himself propelled into a parallel world where he meets Jung Tae Eul, an inspector with whom he teams up with to defeat the criminals
but also close the door between their two worlds.

Lee Min-ho is back!

It’s his first drama after military service and it didn’t disappoint!

tenor

Woo Do Hwan is an amazing actor

He played two very different people , one was Jo Young, the royal bodyguard to Lee Gon who takes his job very seriously, and the other Jo Eun-seob who is a public service worker at a police station. He played those two soo good, I started to think twins played those roles and not one person!

It has ACTION!

Like a lot of it!!! And it’s amazing!

The romance is the sweetest

King Lee Gon and Jong Tae-eul are the sweetest! So many cute moments between all the action. The chemistry was on point!

The multiple world situation

It’s set in two parallel universes, one is a place called the Kingdom of Corea that’s ruled by King Lee Gon and the other is present-day Korea, where police detective Jong Tae-eul is! It’s really interesting to see a parallel history in this drama, and how Korea could look if the things would play differently.

“Extraordinary You”- disappointed me

ABOUT THE DRAMA :

extra kdramaWhat would you do if you found out that you were in fact a character in a comic? And an extra character on top of that? Change the course of the story, obviously!

Eun Danoh is a 17 year old high-school student from a wealthy family who suffers from a lifelong heart condition that inevitably means she will not live past her teenage years. However, when Danoh realizes she is experiencing long gaps in her memory as well, she comes into the unhappy inheritance of another fact in her life: she is a character in a Korean webtoon and all of her actions are predetermined by the artist who draws her. To make matters worse, she discovers she is only a supporting character in the cast. With her newfound understanding of the world she inhabits, she is determined to find true love in her own plot-line and circumvent the author’s plans for her character by utilizing the flashes of storyboard she alone is able to see.

Country: Korean

Status: Completed

Released: 2019

Genre: Comedy; Fantasy; Friendship; Romance; School; Youth;

MY THOUGHTS

PLOT

plotIt’s such a unique idea, a comic book character that finds out she is in a comic book?! That’s such a cool thing. The first 8 episodes were amazing, I loved every second of it, though maybe it’s my new Goblin?! …but after those episodes, it started to drag. Like there was so much going on, but it felt so flat…I don’t know why. So disappointing…

It’s 3 stars out of 5 stars for me !

THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN OUR MAIN COUPLE(S)?

coupleUnpopular opinion – I didn’t like any of the Love interests. For me, it was more a self-journey and you really didn’t need a love interest in this one. So we have the Haru the character who isn’t in the main story andcouple 2 Eun Danoh’s fiance in the comics Baek Kyung. There was chemistry between this love triangle,I just personally didn’t care about it.

HOW IT ENDS

(mild spoilers)

It was an open-ended ending, with a bittersweet feeling.  I’m okay with it, I kind of saw it coming.

Thoughts I had Re-Watching – “Boys Over Flowers “

Hello, My Darlings! How are you? How’s your quarantine going? I’m reading a lot and watching Kdramas. One of the dramas I’m re-watching right now is Boys Over Flowers ,and I have some thoughts. Let’s dive into it!

The Fashion: it didn’t age well

This kdrama came out in 2009 , and the fashion is very early 2010…It gives me such nostalgia. But for someone younger, it can be hard to relate and understand.

Was Geum Jan Di always this loud?

Why I didn’t remember this? Like that Girl is loud….like VERY loud! My ears are bleeding.

Still love the second couple a little bit more

Don’t get me wrong Geum Jan Di and Gu Jun-py are cute together, but my favorites are definitely So Yi-jung and Cha Ga-eul. Loved their romance, those two are totally made for each other!

second couple

We all need friends like F4 has

The friendships between F4 is the best! They are there for each other till the end and always help one another, this is something I loved to see in this drama.
