“October TBR”- Blogtober Day 8

Hello, My Darlings! It’s the Blogtober Day 8, hope you are enjoying Blogtober as much as I am. Today I want to talk about my TBR for October (if someone doesn’t know TBR stands for To Be Read ). I’m on a reading slump this October, but still, I hope to read those books. That’s my goal, so let’s dive into it!

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by Terry Pratchett,
Neil Gaiman (Goodreads Author)
40536331._SY475_According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.
So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except for a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon—both of whom have lived amongst Earth’s mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle—are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist . . .

Why I’m excited to read it:
I loved the Tv Show so when I saw this book for such an affordable price (1,50 euro) I hit the jackpot! Can’t wait finally get to it.

Часовий ключ

24512224The first book in the Chasodiya series by Natalia Shcherba (The Time Key) tells about an ordinary girl, Vasilyna, who lives with her grandmother, who is her guardian. And now, she becomes aware that her father is the influential magician in Efflari, a world created by special temporary magic. Getting into the land of daisies, time benders, and fairies, Vasilinka is in the middle of a very dangerous game. Even her friends can’t understand who she really is. A naive girl who doesn’t even have an idea of her origin? The spy that her father sent to get the throne? And, perhaps, a time bender that can control time and to what extent can she go and save Eflar and Earth from the inevitable collision?

Why I’m excited to read it:
One of my mom’s old friends owns a book store in Ukraine, and when we visited her I wanted to get some books in Ukrainian. One of her employees advised me to get this one. It’s a YA magical adventure from a Ukrainian author. The cover is stunning and can’t wait to dive into it!

(Order of Darkness #1)

by Philippa Gregory

12988106Italy, 1453. Seventeen-year-old Luca Vero is brilliant, gorgeous—and accused of heresy. Cast out of his religious order for using the new science to question old superstitious beliefs, Luca is recruited into a secret sect: The Order of the Dragon, commissioned by Pope Nicholas V to investigate evil and danger in its many forms, and strange occurrences across Europe, in this year—the end of days.

Isolde is a seventeen-year-old girl shut up in a nunnery so she can’t inherit any of her father’s estate. As the nuns walk in their sleep and see strange visions, Isolde is accused of witchcraft—and Luca is sent to investigate her, but finds himself plotting her escape.

Despite their vows, despite themselves, love grows between Luca and Isolde as they travel across Europe with their faithful companions, Freize, and Ishraq. The four young people encounter werewolves, alchemists, witches, and death-dancers as they head toward a real-life historical figure who holds the boundaries of Christendom and the secrets of the Order of the Dragon.

Why I’m excited to read it:

I found this book for cheap in my local outlet book store. The synopsis sounded interesting, the book cover looked amazing and after fliping some pages I saw those beautiful illustrations (maps, medieval paintings) on every second page. Hope the book is good!

TBR-Books I’m excited to read in the near future!

Photo by Dmitry Ratushny on Unsplash

Hello, my darlings and Hello if you are new here .Hope you all had an amazing week. I’m so sorry for not posting yesterday, had the worst migraine in years. But now I’m feeling much better. Today I want to talk about books I’m excited to read in the near future. Let’s dive into it!

The Merrivales, a family of solid social standing, have fallen into unhappy financial straits, and the marriage might deliver them from this situation. They have come to London for the glittering social season, in order to give young and beautiful Charis a chance to make a good marriage, she may be as hen-witted as she is beautiful. Frederica herself, a gay and witty charmer, believes herself happily beyond marriageable age — she is twenty-four, after all. They boys are also very differents, Jessamy is an interesting boy, and Felix an engaging scamp. Frederica is saddened when her prime prospect, their distant cousin Lord Alverstroke, seems totally uninterested. But when they are introduced to London society by the Marquis of Alverstoke, they find themselves both besieged by more suitors than they can possibly handle!

Why I’m excited to read it: I’m bing reading right now  Regency romances, and this is the only physical book in this gender I have on my shelf  . And I haven’t read anything in Latvian for quite some time so it will be nice to do that again.

(Life After #2)

by Julie Hall

The battle is far from over.

When the lives of her loved ones are put in peril, who will Audrey turn to for help? On the surface, Audrey’s existence in the afterlife is coming together. Her quirky new mentor guides her on the path to becoming the demon hunter she always hoped. She has great friends and even a kinda-sorta-maybe new boyfriend. But if things are so wonderful, why is Logan never far from her thoughts?

After learning that her family is the target of an unprecedented demonic siege Audrey puts all she’s gained in jeopardy by defying heavenly authorities and returning to Earth. Stranded at the place she once called home with the one person she’s been desperate to forget, she’ll face vicious monsters, betrayers, and a legion of demons with an insidious weapon that even her celestial sword can’t defeat.

Will Audrey’s mistakes in the afterlife be what destroys the lives of the ones she loves the most.

Why I’m excited to read it: I loved the first book in this series, so obviously I’m excited about the second one. It’s an epic and amazing afterlife story with Christian themes in it . The only reason I haven’t read it is that I’m a mood reader and the only thing I want to read right now is Regency romance . But I will definitely read it soon…
